Top Achievers of Golf Classic are Joan Perry Austin, Rose Hoskins, and Lola Denise Jefferson. Outstanding Accomplishment is for the Christmas Gala is Maud Trahan. The President's Scholarship & Awards Ball is Marilyn Johnson for the Ads, Mack Parker for the patrons, and Charlie Terrell for the tickets. Outstanding recruiters are Joan Perry Austin, Kendrick Clack, Rose Hoskins, and Lola Denise Jefferson. Perfect attendance awardees are Ida Massie, Laurie Moore, Charlie Terrell, Maud Trahan, Bessie Trammell, and Majorie Vaval.

The 13th Annual Christmas Gala was December 21, 2014 at the Crowne Plaza. Davina Jackson Green was the chairperson.  Vanessa Auguillard and Rev. Bolden held a mini fashion show that was a lot of fun!

Maud Trahan sold the highest number of tickets and was the first place winner. Everyone had an awesome time. Jesus is the reason for the season!

The Local National Black Nurses Day was held on Valentine's Day on February 14, 2014 at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Mary Holt Ashley was the Keynote Speaker. Her topic was "Stages of Leadership". The Lecture was awesome and very informative!  One free continuing education unit was earned. The nurses enjoyed dinner and visited with the many vendors.  Founder & Executive Director Lola Denise Jefferson sanged the Negro National Anthem.  Madame President Charlie Terrell extended a warm welcome to everyone.  Myrtle Morrow prayed the prayer.  Faith Okagbue was the Chair and Faye Young was the Co-chair.

The Women's Health Symposium was held on April 5, 2014 at the Robert C. Jefferson Family Life Center. Bessie Trammell was the Chairperson. Debra Spiller spoke on Diabetes.  Dr. Mary Ellen Trail Ross spoke on Custodial Grandparenting. Dr.Gilad Filmar spoke on Urinary Incontinence.  Dr. David Goldfarb spoke on Urologic Treatment Options. And Dr. Olinda Johnson spoke on Positive Communication. All speakers were truly outstanding! The nurses earned 5 contact hours and enjoyed breakfast and a box lunch.

Thirteenth Annual President’s Scholarship and Awards Ball

 The 13th Annual President's Scholarship & Awards Ball, Saturday, April 19, 2014. Beverly McGowan chair this successful event. The Master of Ceremony was 1st Vice President of the National Black Nurses Association Dr. Eric Williams. The Ball was held at the Sheraton Suites Houston near the Galleria.

Marilyn Johnson is the Lifetime Achievement Winner. Nurse of the Year is Kendrick Clack. Board Member of the Year is Bessie Trammell. Volunteer of the Year is Davina Jackson Green. And Recruiter of the Year is Debbie Jones.
